Let's say I have swordsmanship at 12. If I am using let's say a sword with 15-22 damage and a lvl req of 7, would it give me more damage than if I were using a sword with the same damage but with a lvl req of 10, since with the lower req sword I am more lvls above the min reqs? Or is it all the same?

you suffer a penalty for being below the requirement

if there is a bonus i will let someone who knows that part answer

Yeh, I know about the penalties ;-), but are there bonuses for being more above the min reqs? Good try though, but if noone answers I'll do some testing :-)

You'd do more damage with a higher swordsmanship level as per the game mechanics, but you don't get a bonus for being above the requirement in itself. You just avoid the penalty. In your example, you wouldn't see any difference between the two swords.
